AND...as an added bonus: The Free Company will be performing one day, at the "Hamlet of Mid-Missouri Faire" at Sedalia, Missouri. The faire is this coming weekend, June 12th and 13th. Canis Bellum will be there on Sunday the 13th. The faire is located at the Missouri state fairground.

Kazimir wrote: How can I possiblly thank everyone who came out to see us over Memorial Weekend?! What a spectacular weekend it was! The weather cooperated splendidly, the crowds that watched us were enthusiastic, and the fighting on the field was excellent!

On Saturday we did have a small setback, Sir Randolf was fighting Sir Cyrus, and due to an armour malfunction, Sir Randolf had his thumb pinched between two plates in his gauntlet which ended up requiring 5 stiches...OUCH! But Sir Randolf and his NEW squire toughed it out all weekend and were a BIG help!

Thanks to our friends that traveled from New Mexico and Florida who came up to join us in the festivities at the faire, we miss you all, but we are so thankful you were able to enjoy the fighting and the feasting!

We made so many new friends at the faire between the staff, performers and espesically the patrons. It was a blast to talk to everyone interested in what we do. And a big thanks to "Ryan the Younger" from the Scottish Guild, he was very handy at fixing our chainmail and working on his projects at camp, you rock!

Sunday, we had a little weather scare that quickly blew over, and we were able to once again camp out and feast. Later on that evening, we broke out the "light sticks" and had an impromptu "light show" which drew a crowd to our camp to watch the guys show off their skills with a bow staff in the dark. Very cool watching the lights stream colors in the darkness. What fun!

Monday, we were yet again blessed with good weather all day, and except for multiple armour "blowouts", we had some great fighting. As the faire was closing, it finally started to rain, oh well! At least the day was perfect!

We will be back to close out the last weekend, so you still have a chance to come hang out with us and watch the fighting and to talk.
